Bit. Trip: Runner Considered a ‘rhythm platformer’
Bit-based games have been increasingly popular over the years and this is generally because players get a nostalgic feeling out of it which is probably the reason why Gaijin Games are going to release the fourth installment to their Bit. Trip game which they have titled Bit. Trip: Runner.
This was announced via podcast with their interview with Nintendo Life and it was Alex Neuse of Gaijin Games who made the said announcement. Neuse is calling this game as a “rhythm platformer” which is a genre that populated only by Vib-Ribbon, which is in Neuse’s estimation. This basically means that players will have to move Commander Video throughout side-scrolling environments using the beat of chiptune songs which is apparently provided for by Anamanaguchi, chiptune superstars.
