Cambridge University: to teach games, comics and more
Students who fancy studying in Cambridge University will learn more than just Math and Physics equations because the University is planning to teach their students to study games, comics and very popular books along with “time-honored classics” at a new children’s literature center.
This is because the University has deemed students to pick up ideas that are not enforced neither by the parents or teachers because there are times that those students learn better through hands-on activity, such as playing online games.
Literary topics covered range from the Harry potter series as well as the twilight series to all-time Disney classics like Alice in Wonderland and the little house on the prairie. According to BBC, the center is being expanded to cover “representation of young people in films and video games, along with children’s comics.
Professional analyst and critics said that if we tend to disregard the things that young people sought popular then as researchers and teachers, they should be able to connect to their students somehow to be able to fully understand how teenagers think nowadays.
They added that, I they are successful in this manner, then they wouldn’t find it hard to teach students their curriculums because they can incorporate ideas from what the teenagers like to the topic and by means of such, students can understand their teachers right away.
