iPad: more than just a hand-held screen
There is so much more about iPad than just a flat screen LCD computer-like screen that everyone has been raving about. Yeah, sure we can ditch out emails, videos and music…but does the iPad make me play games?

Have you ever been as curious as to how the games would actually look like in iPhone and iPod touch and never thought of actually purchasing the game itself. Fortunately, so are the publishers from EA and activision.
Since its debut on the iPhone gaming platform, The Call of Duty: world at war: Zombies, it has been creating so much buzz that the creators are trying to come up with ways to improve the game’s interface so that it can be more user-friendly yet still maintain its nasty, zombie-filled gameplay that’s totally off thehook.
Plants of all shapes and sizes battling evil ghouls and nasty-looking zombies in cute pots, helping one another to make the zombie squad fall to the ground and vanish like dust, is the new rising PC game that is becoming a huge hit for gamers worldwide.
Zombie games are considered to be a gold mine in the gaming industry, especially when you know what people want and it would seem that Tony Hynes, Nelson Rodriguez, Chris Paladino (Former Gamerscore Blog staff) have landed it big time with their first game contribution to theindustry. If you view a combination of the Game Boy Advanced Touch and iPhone, you will most certainly think that it will be a radical idea and we initially thought that as well. Our first impression with this Goteking creation is that is was very fresh and very unique in its own way because it still possessed the appeal of the Game Boy Advance while getting a perfect blend of the technical magic offered by the iPhone. We even compared it to Nokia’s n-gage because of all the minute resemblance. Upon further inspection though, we were disappointed to find out that this was just an empty Game Boy Advance shell which was crammed with the iPhone technology.
The recent tragedy that struck all the folk in Haiti was truly devastating and with the current morass that they are in right now, they will need every help that they can get. A lot of organizations have already extended their helping hand to all the Haiti victims and it would seem that a part of the gaming community is getting into the “giving spirit” as well. iPhone game devs have banded together so that they can give bigger help to Haiti victims compared if they were to do it individuality. All of the proceeds that this coalition of game devs will incur will be sent out as relief operations to the said vicinity.
No one can really doubt the success that the Apple App Store was able to achieve since it was launched in July of 2008 but it would seem that “other people” saw this success as a chance to make a quick buck. A recent report from 24/7 Wall St stated that the Apple App Store had lost over $450 million from piracy. Toni Sacconagh, analyst for Bernstein, estimated that the Apple App Store had 3 billion downloaded items by lots of users since it was launch but only 13-21% (which is basically 510 million) of which have been paid applications.
We have played a lot of iPhone games recently, what with all the game releases coming out from companies and all, but we really don’t know why we can’t get out thumbs off of Phantom Mansion: The Red Chamber. This is an utterly uncomplicated puzzle-action game that will surely get you hooked no matter how hard you try to deny it. It got our attention so it will pretty much get yours as well. Players will be able to view that game ant a top-down angle and the scene will have several rooms in that so-called mansion of theirs.
iPhone is presently untouchable by other smart phone in terms of the gaming industry but is about to change because Palm is going to be part of the gaming industry as well. One of the major problems about Palm before is that even though they have a remarkable mobile OS, they lack games to use their OS on. But Palm has already announced that they are going to significantly update their webOS platform during the CES in Las Vegas today.
