Metro 2033 is not an open world game
Many avid fans of the upcoming game Metro 2033 thinks that the game is going to be an open world which is pretty much what S.T.A.L.K.E.R looked like. If you though this then you were seriously mistaken because the format is not open world. According to game developers, Metro 2033 is going to be a first-person shooter game which is at the same time atmospheric and story-driven.

Dean Sharpe of EP said that their goal was to create a game that was very story-driven, atmospheric and very believable enough to make players think that they are the character themselves. Dean further added that they have managed to achieve this with Metro 2033.
The story of the game revolves around a person who has lived outside of society, technically underground, for the better part of his life. This person is then called on active duty and sent on a mission to save the world. The whole setting will take place after the bomb decimates all. The game really looks awesome and is going to be out for all PC users out there. It’s going to be available during the first part of 2010 but there is still no exact date with regards to its release.
