Updates for MSG: Peacewalker PSP revealed!!

There has been lots of talk with regards to the PSP platform of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker but probably the announcement most people are excited about is the update that Konami has made for the game and with the released update for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Konami also included the details. The UMD format of the game will be releasing this coming May 25th which is only a little while longer.

Sony market shares dropped: PS2 & PSP sales drop

Most of you may have noticed the transition that Sony went when 2009 hit because their PS3 units finally had a price drop to an affordable price with the use of a good ad campaign. But even though their PS3 sales increased because of their move, Matt Matthews from Gamasutra noted that 2009 is actually one of the worst years for Sony in a long time in terms of the company’s revenue. For you to get a good perspective as to how this came about, Sony was able to amass an approximated $6.4 billion in revenues back in 2008 but they were only able to accumulate $5.1 billion in 2009. that is roughly around a $1.3 billion loss which is approximately a 20% decline in sales revenue for their PlayStation products.

New trailer for Metal Slug: Double X finally revealed!

As most of you may have already known, Metal Slug: Double X is coming to all PSP players at an alarming speed and to ease the wait of everybody, game devs have recently released a new trailer for the game which will boast some of its features . This Metal Slug 7 remake is supposed to be one of the biggest that the franchise has ever attempted and they hoped that game’s fans will be treating it that way. The UMD-exclusive game is set to release on the 23rd of February for all PSP users so it is just a few more weeks to go before you can get it in your grubby little hands.

Hexzy Force punches through North America

All RPG fans in North America will be totally psyched about the juicy piece of news that Atlus is offering them now because they have recently announced that they are going to release Hexzy Force for all North American PSP users. The game is going to be formatted for the PSP platform which makes it all the more exciting because of the transition that the game is going to have. The game just release in Japan last November but it has already received lots of positive reviews since then.

PSP to have Hexyz Force from Atlus

It would seem that Atlus really loves the PSP because they are yet again introducing another game to the platform. The game is titled Hexzy Force and it is a new game that was developed recently by Sting. Sting was also the creator of the famous Yggdra Union and Riviera: The Promised Land which garnered a lot of positive reps on their own. There are two adventures that are featured in this classically-styled JRPG and both of these adventures are centered on the end of the world. Players will be able to play the game for a maximum of 25 hours per adventure which would surmount to around 50 hours worth of game play. There will be grinding and dungeon crawling for all fans to enjoy.

Survey: 52% of PSP users are actually female

Now we don’t mean to undermine the female gaming population but when people speak about video gaming, they would immediately think about male gamers. For those who think that this is true you are seriously mistaken because according to Nielsen, a US market research firm, majority of the PSP owners are actually female claiming 52% of the total PSP gaming population. But it doesn’t stop there though because from the total population of Wii owners in the US, a staggering 49% of that total population is female, only 1% short of being equal to the male Wii gaming population.

Thexder Neo comes to PS3 after all

Probably one of the best robot games that will come out later this year would be Thexder Neo and it was already confirmed that this game will be coming to both the PSP and the PS3 formats. All of this was announced when the ESRB rating hand been given to this work of art from developer Game Arts. But shortly after we found out that this game is going to be playable on both PS3 and PSP formats, Square Enix withdrew their statement and said that they are going to put the game in PSP format only. So you can only imagine what a lot of PS3-using fans felt when they found out of this. If you are one of those people who were vexed with this news, be vexed no more because Square Enix is going to release the game for the PS3 after all.

DOA Paradise to arrive on PSP

Anyone who was ever a fan of sexy chicks fighting it out with each other in extreme hand-to-hand combat would definitely know of DOA or Dead or Alive. This is basically because every thing a guy could want would be there which generally would include sexy girls and fighting as well as great visual and graphic effects from the game. But the latest addition to the DOA franchise is going to be a little different from what we normally experience from the series because Tecmo has decided that they are going to get rid of the annoying volleyball and the fighting and just stick to the main event of the game which is the girls. This has already been previously asked by fans of the game and finally Tecmo has answered our pleas.
